Tea ceremony

The tea ceremony is a special form of Japanese hospitality and was brought to Japan by a Buddhist abbot. He described the healing influences of tea, its precise preparation methods, and the rules of tea-drinking. Tea master Sen no-RIKYU would later develop this art further with the highest spiritual and philosophical aspirations into a unique living style. Sashiko SHIROYA, a tea master from the IORI tea ceremony culture house, will give you an introduction into the art and tradition of the “way of the tea”. Indulge yourself in the tea ceremonies with Japanese sweets and green matcha tea.
