Concert with OTOWAZA

Who were one of the most successful bands in Japan? The Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra? Or Marilyn Manson? Actually, it was German electro pioneers KRAFTWERK! Does that go well with traditional Japanese music? You will be surprised about the wonderful sounds that emerge when KRAFTWERK's most popular tunes are interpreted on traditional Japanese instruments such as the biwa, the koto, the shakuhachi and the shamisen. The music group OTOWAZA was founded in Tokyo in 2010 – OTO stands for sound, WA for harmony. Under the direction of Yasumi MIYAZAWA, they are not only masters in classical Japanese music and innovative in their interpretation of modern pop music, but they also accompany silent films (see BENSHI-BRILLIANCE).
