NIPPON VISIONS AWARD
For the third time, the winner of the NIPPON VISIONS AWARD will be selected by an international expert jury. All feature films longer than 60 minutes of the NIPPON VISIONS section can partake in the competition if they are not older than one year and are shown at least as a German premiere. The award brings about a subtitling for the winning director’s next film, sponsored by Japan Visualmedia Translation Academy (JVTA) from Tokyo.
The winner of the NIPPON VISIONS AWARD 2012 is THE SOUND OF LIGHT (Hikari no oto) by Jyuichiro YAMASAKI. Special mention: FUKUSHIMA: MEMORIES OF LOST LANDSCAPE (Souma kanka : Dai ichi bu - Ubawareta tochi no kioku) by Yojyu MATSUBAYASHI.
